Winters is a city in rural Yolo County, and the western Sacramento Valley, in northern California. Winters is a small city located on Putah Creek in the western Sacramento Valley, near the northeastern Vaca Mountains foothills.
It is situated along Interstate 505, 11 miles from Vacaville. Winters is nearly 30 miles from Sacramento and about 60 miles from San Francisco, California. Winters has hot, mostly dry summers and cool, wet winters.
A throw-back town of approximately 7,000 people with a forward-looking attitude, Winters is a classic strip of Americana. The downtown district is humming with activity and will definitely peak your interest. Bicyclists come from near and far to this bastion of good coffee and food in downtown Winters. Indeed, you’ll often see more bikes parked by the coffee shop than anywhere else.
